Me,Myself et Moi

My photo
Buenos dias world
As I am new to this I thought I would share a few little facts about myself..that is if you're interested

1. Im a half mexican, half turkish (Mexish) born and bred english girl so techincally I am a mongrel.

2. Travelling is an addiction of mine. I find it hard to stay in one place for a long time as I think that this world of ours was made for us to explore.

3. My obsession with food is a little extreme. I used to be one of those girls at school who would ask 'Are you going to finish that?' I love pretty much everthing apart from brussel sprouts and zucchini. I would ban them if I had the power.

4. I could not talk english until I was 6 so my nursery days consisted of Janel bitting the kids to communicate with them. But do not worry. My cannibal days are over...I think.

Paint me please ♥

So it may be already January 2011, a new year for a whole new you. But unfortunately the winter season is still haunting us and will be for some time. Does that mean though that we can not get heads up on the new trends for this year? Most certainly not! Here we have a few great colours for the S/S 11 nail trend, but who said that we could not start decorating our nails early?

1. 'The Blues Clues'

2. 'Peachy-Keen Pink'

3. 'Lovely in Lavender'

4. ' Gun-Metal Greys'

5. Last but not least..'Nature Nudes'

Gifts to myself ♥

So whilst wandering around in Sydney this Christmas, I managed to adopt a few little new possessions, that have now settled in quite nicely in their new home.

I had been wanting a skull ring for some time, but never seemed to find one that quite caught my eye. That was until I saw this little bird, perched by its lonesome-self on a jewelry stand, waiting for the day to be worn. It is most definitely the best $5 Aussie dollars I have ever spent.

Hello Diana

Dear blog... I would like to apologise for neglecting you over the festive period. Once again I ran away from this cold, snowy weather (that I must admit, I was not too keen on) and made my way Down Under, where the summer days had already bloomed. All I can say on that matter is that I had a very special time, with special people and was not one bit content of returning back to the cold and even less amused when I foolishly turned up at Heathrow airport in flip flops...a major school-boy error right there ladies and gents.

However even though I am wrapped up from head to toe in anything that will keep me slightly on the warm side, I do have a new little item in my life that makes me truly content...my very own Mini Diana Lomo. I am afraid that Santa had not read my mind in wanting this little gift, but my dear Ben Dixon most certainly did. Every since the day it has been in my possession, I have been clicking away and have been a very happy girl in doing so. All three films are now finished and all that is left is for them to be developed but in the mean time here are some photos which will soon be scattered all around my room ♥

Ballerina ♥

Ever since I can remember, going to see The Nutcracker during the festive season was one of the things that my sister, my mother and I all had on our individual to-do list. Most people would not really picture me as the 'ballet type' girl (if that exists at all). However I suppose it is there where I would stop them and correct their perception of Dora. Growing up with a sister, who also loved this type of dancing made us have a close relationship as we would enter dancing competitions as a little team and perform shows with our hair gelled back in a bun with a million hair clips, which is never the best look. Even though the years go by, I still feel as young child at heart whilst I watch those ballerinas swirl around in their sparkling tutus and it is not until a few years ago that I learnt how remarkable it is to watch a story being told by the movements of someone and not with words. I went last weekend to watch The Nutcracker and it was certainly as wonderful as always. I know that ballet is not everyone's cup of tea, but I do recommend you going to see a show as you never know, you may end up enjoying it ♥

Window shopping ♥

So last Friday I decided to step away from the madness of Oxford Street and pay a little visit to Knightsbridge, where our beloved Harrods is situated. It was the first time that I had ventured up into the city in a while since I have been a bit of a busy bee lately so it was lovely to see all the christmas lights and decorations, whilst sipping on my 99p McDonalds coffee...(not quite so christmasy at all). I could not help but notice the beautiful window displays that Harrods had in store for the curious passers by. It took me a while to taking some pictures since the Italian and Spanish tourists were a bit snappy happy with their cameras, as well as myself , so it was all a bit chaotic! But I succeeded in the end and I hope you all like them ♥

Glover ♥

How many of us remember having those magic gloves as a child which we  believed would miraculously  fit any hand size, but then started to eventually realize that they were not as magical as we once thought as they did not fit everyone but yet still used them? Yes, I was one of those... I gave up using gloves a while back since I would find myself always taking them off and leaving them behind, making me to repurchase a new pair. So eventually I switched to fingerless gloves/ palm warmers that I think are suited for the forgetful gloves owners, who still want to keep their little hands cosy and warm. I came across these Asos gloves, £12, that I think are stylish and perfect for this weather ♥
