Travelling around Bolivia consited mainly of a few things.
- Very high altitude to the point where I could not even walk up a small hill without resting or moaning every 10 seconds.
- Warm Alpaca jumpers, which was the signiature way of identifying backpackers.
- The adorable Cholita women (native women) who wore day and night their flattering 'behind' petticoats, colourful blankets and voluptuous velvet skirts. Not forgetting of course those bountiful bowler hats, which just seemed to perch comfortably on their pigtails.
The Charlie Chaplin lookalike hats have become a major fashion statement in Bolivia. However one thing that I did notice was that the Cholitas wear these hats one size too small, so that they are not able to fit around the head but to be balanced on top, without any pins sustaining them. Either my balance is absolutely shocking, which I may think it is, or the Bolivian women just have that magical power for it not to fall off.
My little pixie Nazz, along with Spidy who befriended me along my travels, were my models ♥
