Me,Myself et Moi

My photo
Buenos dias world
As I am new to this I thought I would share a few little facts about myself..that is if you're interested

1. Im a half mexican, half turkish (Mexish) born and bred english girl so techincally I am a mongrel.

2. Travelling is an addiction of mine. I find it hard to stay in one place for a long time as I think that this world of ours was made for us to explore.

3. My obsession with food is a little extreme. I used to be one of those girls at school who would ask 'Are you going to finish that?' I love pretty much everthing apart from brussel sprouts and zucchini. I would ban them if I had the power.

4. I could not talk english until I was 6 so my nursery days consisted of Janel bitting the kids to communicate with them. But do not worry. My cannibal days are over...I think.

Ballerina ♥

Ever since I can remember, going to see The Nutcracker during the festive season was one of the things that my sister, my mother and I all had on our individual to-do list. Most people would not really picture me as the 'ballet type' girl (if that exists at all). However I suppose it is there where I would stop them and correct their perception of Dora. Growing up with a sister, who also loved this type of dancing made us have a close relationship as we would enter dancing competitions as a little team and perform shows with our hair gelled back in a bun with a million hair clips, which is never the best look. Even though the years go by, I still feel as young child at heart whilst I watch those ballerinas swirl around in their sparkling tutus and it is not until a few years ago that I learnt how remarkable it is to watch a story being told by the movements of someone and not with words. I went last weekend to watch The Nutcracker and it was certainly as wonderful as always. I know that ballet is not everyone's cup of tea, but I do recommend you going to see a show as you never know, you may end up enjoying it ♥

Window shopping ♥

So last Friday I decided to step away from the madness of Oxford Street and pay a little visit to Knightsbridge, where our beloved Harrods is situated. It was the first time that I had ventured up into the city in a while since I have been a bit of a busy bee lately so it was lovely to see all the christmas lights and decorations, whilst sipping on my 99p McDonalds coffee...(not quite so christmasy at all). I could not help but notice the beautiful window displays that Harrods had in store for the curious passers by. It took me a while to taking some pictures since the Italian and Spanish tourists were a bit snappy happy with their cameras, as well as myself , so it was all a bit chaotic! But I succeeded in the end and I hope you all like them ♥

Glover ♥

How many of us remember having those magic gloves as a child which we  believed would miraculously  fit any hand size, but then started to eventually realize that they were not as magical as we once thought as they did not fit everyone but yet still used them? Yes, I was one of those... I gave up using gloves a while back since I would find myself always taking them off and leaving them behind, making me to repurchase a new pair. So eventually I switched to fingerless gloves/ palm warmers that I think are suited for the forgetful gloves owners, who still want to keep their little hands cosy and warm. I came across these Asos gloves, £12, that I think are stylish and perfect for this weather ♥

Yes,I use Gillette Venus ♥

I  imagine that if a waitress heard " Oh, she has a pair of nice legs! " whilst serving to some customers, probably she would feel a little flattered. However what if these two gentlemen were not yapping away about the waitress, but instead of these great pair of 'pins' found on these saucy items! I would most certainly comment on them if I were in a cafe, wouldn't you? Personally, this collection would be perfect if you wanted to have a small tea party and with their vintage-retro feel, it would be brilliant as a gift too! You are able to chose the colour of the shoes between black, gold and red but I much prefer having a bit of a colorful mixture of mini-shoes in my tea cupboard. At the moment, Undergrowth Design have a few Christmas gift sets in store where you are able to buy a few of these items for a great price, so I recommend you to have a look! ♥

Open your eyes ♥

So I came across some photos which I like.

I see what I see.

Behind every picture there is a story.

That's pretty much it.

Via : We are Vane

You smell nice ♥

How many times have I walked outside my house forgetting to spray on a bit of le parfum on?? Roughly about a hundred times I would say. Getting ready for any certain occasion is always a bit hectic as there is always something that I can not find, leading me to run like a madwoman on steroids up and down the stairs, making me late hence forgetting the perfume. This is why I have come to the conclusion that it is a much wiser idea for forgetful señoritas like myself to purchase a small bottle of perfume and to keep it in their bag at all times so that if they ever do forget that touch femininity, it is only a spray away....If only I would have thought of that before.

Lying in bed with a cold, surrounded by a million tissues is never a great way to start the week. But then I came across these delicate delights and instantly my frown was turned upside down. Not only am I rather fond of the designs of these lovely necklaces, but also of what special treat is found inside of them. They were designed by Joya  that specialises in fragrance and what these beauties are, are solid perfume pendants. Unfortunately they are sold out for the meantime, otherwise I would have certainly had one wrapped around my neck by now and smelling pretty all day long!

HOWEVER... I was able to find some more pendants, also designed byVane & Joya that are available at Anthropologie (US site) which are just as beautiful, cheaper and each have a very distinctive smell.
