Me,Myself et Moi

My photo
Buenos dias world
As I am new to this I thought I would share a few little facts about myself..that is if you're interested

1. Im a half mexican, half turkish (Mexish) born and bred english girl so techincally I am a mongrel.

2. Travelling is an addiction of mine. I find it hard to stay in one place for a long time as I think that this world of ours was made for us to explore.

3. My obsession with food is a little extreme. I used to be one of those girls at school who would ask 'Are you going to finish that?' I love pretty much everthing apart from brussel sprouts and zucchini. I would ban them if I had the power.

4. I could not talk english until I was 6 so my nursery days consisted of Janel bitting the kids to communicate with them. But do not worry. My cannibal days are over...I think.

Who asked for Charlie Chaplin?

Travelling around Bolivia consited mainly of a few things.
  1. Very high altitude to the point where I could not even walk up a small hill without resting or moaning every 10 seconds.
  2. Warm Alpaca jumpers, which was the signiature way of identifying backpackers.
  3. The adorable Cholita women (native women) who wore day and night their flattering 'behind' petticoats, colourful blankets and voluptuous velvet skirts. Not forgetting of course those bountiful bowler hats, which just seemed to perch comfortably on their pigtails.
The Charlie Chaplin lookalike hats have become a major fashion statement in Bolivia. However one thing that I did notice was that the Cholitas wear these hats one size too small, so that they are not able to fit around the head but to be balanced on top, without any pins sustaining them. Either my balance is absolutely shocking, which I  may think it is, or the Bolivian women just have that magical power for it not to fall off.

Recently I purchased my very own Bowler hat from Asos £17, as I thought I would place my Trilby to one side and have a new hat friend in my life ♥

My little pixie Nazz, along with Spidy who befriended me along my travels, were my models ♥

I ♥ Down Under

Apart from the obvious, Australia has that little extra sparkle which I have not found in any other country, apart from our beloved England of course. However spending nearly 4 months travelling around Oz, I started to gradually fall in love with their fresh, casual and modern sense of style. One could have guessed, since my bank account started to look a little low... I guess in some ways places like Melbourne and Sydney remind me a little of London, with their small vintage shops and quirky towns but I guess that is why I loved it oh so very much. It may not appear to have the elegance of  French Couture or the glitz and glam of the Big Apple, but it certainly has that little something which keeps me wanting more ♥
